NERIST Entrance Examination
The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is conducted at three Levels viz., NEE-I Base Module (Certificate), NEE-II (PCM) & NEE-II (VOC) B.Tech, NEE-II (PCB) B.Sc (Hons) Forestry and NEE-III (Lateral Entry) B.Tech. The entrance examination is conducted at various centers
located in the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur,
Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
NERIST Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria
NEE-I Base Module (Certificate)- Class 10th Passed
NEE-II (PCM) for B.Tech - Class 12th with PCM
NEE-II (VOC) For B.Tech- Class-XII (Voc.)/ ITI/ NERIST Certificate in the relevant branch/trade (AE/CE/ECE/EE/ME).
NEE - II for B.Sc (Hons) Forestry- Class 12 (PCB)
NEE-III for (Lateral Entry) B.Tech- 3 Years Diploma in the relevant branch of Engineering & Technology Appeared /Passed.

NERIST Admission Procedure
The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is conducted at three Levels viz., NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III for admissions to Certificate Module, & Degree Module of Engineering & Technology branches of Technology stream; and to Degree Module of Forestry stream through NEE-II (PCB). The entrance examination is conducted at various centers located in the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura in the month of April every year. The selection of candidates is done in order of merit as per the institute regulations under various reservation categories of the respective states and the Union of India. The notification for NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III is published in national newspapers and regional newspapers of the North Eastern Region in the month of January every year. NEE Scheme of Examination
NEE-I
Section-A (Physics): 35 marks. 35 questions of 1-mark each
Section-B (Chemistry): 35 marks. 35 questions of 1-mark each
Section-C (Mathematics): 80 marks. 30 questions of 1-mark each and 25 questions of 2-marks each
NEE-II PCM
Section-A (Physics): 45 marks. 25 questions of 1-mark each and 10 questions of 2-marks each
Section-B (Chemistry): 45marks. 25 questions of 1-mark each and 10 questions of 2-marks each
Section-C (Mathematics): 60 marks. 30 questions of 1-mark each and 15 questions of 2-marks each
NEE-II Vocational
Section-A (Physics): 25 marks. 25 questions of 1-mark each
Section-B (Chemistry): 25 marks. 25 questions of 1-mark each
Section-C (Mathematics): 30 marks. 30 questions of 1-mark each
Section-D(Vocational Sub):70 marks 30 questions of 1-mark each and 20 questions of 2-marks each
NEE-II Degree Module Forestry
Section-A (Physics): 45 marks. 25 questions of 1-mark each and 10 questions of 2-marks each
Section-B (Chemistry): 45marks. 25 questions of 1-mark each and 10 questions of 2-marks each
Section-C (Biology): 60 marks. 30 questions of 1-mark each and 15 questions of 2-marks each
NEE-III Lateral Entry
Degree Module
Section-A (Physics): 25 marks. 25 questions of 1-mark each
Section-B (Chemistry): 25 marks. 25 questions of 1-mark each
Section-C (Mathematics): 30 marks. 30 questions of 1-mark each
