NERIST Entrance Examination

The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is conducted at three Levels viz., NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III for admissions to Base Module, Diploma Module & Degree Module of Engineering & Technology branches of Technology stream; and to Degree Module of Forestry stream through NEE-II (PCB). The entrance examination is conducted at various centers located in the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.

NERIST Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who are applying for NERIST examination of NEE-I which is basic module but a certification course have to pass their 10th Standard.
  • In case, if students are applying for NEE-II module in Technology discipline, have to pass 10+2 with the mandatory subjects being Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.     
  • If applicants choose to apply for Vocational Technology Stream need to pass 10+2 in Vocational or ITI in the branches of AE, CE, ECE, EE and ME.
  • Candidates interested in pursuing NEE-III module have to pass 10+2 or Diploma from AE, CE, ECE, EE and ME.
Age Limit:

Candidates who like to apply for NERIST are required to complete the following age limits for various modules:
  • NEE I- as to complete 15 years but should not cross 18 years.
  • NEE II- as to complete 17 years but should not cross 21 years.
  • NEE II- has to be in between 17 years and 21 years of age.

  • Last date to submit online application form: March
  • NEE Exam Dates: April
  • Declaration of NEE result: May
