Elementary Education System in Arunachal Pradesh
The Arunachal Pradesh Education Act, 2010, includes provisions for the regulation of education in the state, including Admission, Curriculum, Free and Compulsory Education, Special Learning and Support and Non-Discrimination.
The public funded basic and compulsory education system is controlled by the Education Department of Government of Assam related to all matters. Also, there are many private schools across the state. However, private schools follow government rules and regulations related to curriculum etc. While government schools charge almost no fees, private schools are expensive and mainly operational in big cities and towns.
Every child residing in the state of Arunachal Pradesh requires to attend school till the completion of Class 10th. Generally in government run schools the Education Curriculum is common for all. Students learn through basic courses in language, literature, social sciences, science and mathematics etc.
After successful study of Class 10th students take Class 10th Board Examination. A pass certificate in this exam opens the gateway to General and Technical Education.
