Arunodaya University

The Arunodaya University Arunachal Pradesh University legislation, 2014 Act no. 13 of 2014, of Arunachal Pradesh was authorised under section 2(f) of the UGC Act of 1956 and gave the university the power to grant degrees, diplomas, and certificates. This legislation founded Arunodaya University in 2014.

According to AICTE Notification No. UB/04(03/2010), a university does not need AICTE's previous clearance to launch a new technical education department, course, or program. Approval is only necessary for institutions that are connected to universities. Arunodaya University does not need AICTE permission because it is a bonafide university founded by a state act.

By letter BCI: D:627/2022 (LE/App/Afflin), BCI has authorised Arunodaya University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, and granted new authorisation to its Faculty of Law for the delivery of a three-year LL.B. program. With effect from March 18, 2020, Arunodaya University has been granted Provisional Membership in AIU, per Letter No. AIU/Meet/GC/358/2020.
